The trophy list for Dead Space has been published, revealing that it will feature an alternate ending that did not appear in the original game.
Posted by TrueTrophies (Opens in a new tab) (via TheGamer (Opens in a new tab)), Dead Space’s remastered awards list includes an achievement called “Reunion”, which is rewarded to those who “see the alternate ending on any difficulty setting”.
It’s unclear what this alternate ending will involve (thankfully) and developer EA Motive hasn’t confirmed that there is indeed more than one ending, but I’m certainly intrigued to see what the studio has up its sleeve at the end of Isaac Clarke’s journey through the Ishimura.
It’ll also be interesting to see if this alternate ending changes the canon of the franchise in any way, as any major changes would likely have a longer impact if EA Motive decides to recreate Dead Space 2 and 3 – although the developer hasn’t. He indicated any plans for this.
galore leakage
Dead Space leaks are circulating ahead of the game’s January 27 release. Extensive gameplay videos have been shared online that reveal some of the biggest surprises in the remake. EA has removed these videos but not before publishing their contents across the web.
Personally, I haven’t looked at them because I’m currently playing through A native Dead Space for the first time and you don’t want to spoil it. But if you want to avoid certain spoilers, I advise caution on social media. Just go into hibernation until liberation day.
