It was nearly a year ago when one of the best VPN services on the market, Surfshark, made the promise of revolutionizing the VPN industry.
At the time, the cutting edge technology to be integrated into its software was the Nexus Software Defined Network (SDN). Its ambitious goal? Link all existing Surfshark servers together into a complete network.
However, the three innovative features responsible for powering the Nexus system were gradually implemented.
Now, the provider is finally delivering what it claims to be Dynamic MultiHop. The new functionality allows users to connect to two VPN servers simultaneously. This means that they can choose manually Both Sites for an enhanced VPN experience.
At the time of writing, iPhone and iPad users can try Surfshark Dynamic MultiHop. The feature is set to gradually roll out to Android, Windows, and Mac VPN apps over the next few weeks.

Full connection customization
“Simply put, MultiHop is a dual VPN service, allowing users to connect through two different VPN servers at the same time,” explained Justas Pukys, VPN Product Owner at Surfshark. “This functionality makes tracking or hacking users’ communications twice as difficult as routing their information across multiple countries.”
While users were already able to connect to server pairs, prior to the update they could only choose a few preset options. The new feature means that anyone now has complete customization across these connections. More than 100 server locations are available for selection and matching according to specific needs and use cases.
After updating the Surfshark iPhone VPN app with the new version, the MultiHop tab will appear on the home screen right above the list of VPN locations. From there, users can choose which IP they want to view. They can also view previously used server pairs, save their favorites or delete unwanted matches.
Each time a Dynamc MultiHop pair is selected, websites or online services will be tricked into thinking that the user is browsing from the two selected countries. This greatly reduces the risk of your online activities and identity being compromised.
However, enhanced security is not the only benefit.
“He. She [Surfshark’s Dynamic MultiHop] Not only does it help you get more security, privacy, and personalization, but in some cases, it can also improve speeds,” says Pukys.
In fact, while a VPN may slow down your internet speeds at times, it often does the exact opposite. This is because VPNs can help you avoid ISP restriction practices, for example.
Surfshark’s Dynamic MultiHop is the latest addition to the Nexus package, adding itself to the already active component IP vertigo. Always in an effort to enhance online security, the latter allows users to change the IP address automatically every five to 10 minutes without any interruption in the connection.
Not yet released, Surfshark’s IP randomized Then completes the Nexus system. By assigning a new IP address each time a user accesses a different website, it aims to better mask browsing patterns.
