Sony sent PlayStation employees a dedicated DualSense controller for PlayStation 5 as an end-of-2022 gift — and I can’t help but feel jealous
Insomniac Games Senior Director Aaron Jason Espinosa, chirp (Opens in a new tab) Images of the redesigned DualSense controller, explaining that it was a “holiday gift” from Sony to “celebrate an amazing 2022”.
The striking ‘Play Has No Limits’ controller features PlayStation’s signature button shapes, with faded geometric gray lines connecting them across the touchpad and knobs, while the back is stamped ‘Play Has No Limits 2022’. It even comes with a black stand that says “2022”.

give me that
The first thing that came to my mind as soon as I saw this console was, where can I buy one?
Unfortunately, I’m very disappointed that this redesigned console isn’t currently available for purchase – but there’s a small chance it could be released to consumers in the future. For the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation, Sony released a special PS1 version of the PS4. While this was originally intended only for internal Sony employees, it later became available for purchase.
Sony hasn’t announced that this will be the case with the console for the 2022 release. Given the year-specific customization, I’m not particularly hoping it will ever be available to the general public.
